I sure am getting lazy about updating the blog. BAH.
I also haven't done any lengthy rides recently.... Remodeling and "construction" take me unbelievable lengths of time. I get involved, thinking I'm going to get something done in "a few days", and often weeks later I'm shocked how slow I am. Tired and sore feet somehow seem to slow me down, requiring frequent rest breaks that often take more time that I actually spent doing something productive. Old Age....
Hang On.
Currently I'm in the middle of rebuilding out "guest bathroom", which has taken all too long. Thankfully
Jacque isn't cracking the whip on me, though she certainly is entitled to. Riding the trike for some of the pickup chores for tools etc. helps give me excuses to do the cardio exercise thing.
Slaving on "projects" gets me wonderfully hot and sweaty but doesn't do much for "cardio" needs.
Occasionally I've wound up taking TWO showers in one day to slosh off the sweat and grime, even without a bike ride under the belt, so to speak. September is bringing slightly cooler temperatures --
Which is a WONDERFUL thing, even if by only a few degrees.
I've had several queries about the trike recently, some with real intent to be interested in such a contraption. One truck driver fellow outside our local Big Box Store was really interested until he realized it didn't have a motor of some kind. SIGH
Hoping to take a longer more enjoyable ride - say up at the famed Katy Trail - sometime before cold weather sets in. We'll see.
Meanwhile, pedaling around town is still enjoyable....
