Evening Knee-Stretcher

Tonight's Tracking Up the Street and Back

Jacque and I just took a short run up the street to limber up her new knee.  We had just gotten into the southbound bike lane on Jefferson when a large SUV veered into our lane right behind us and appeared to not realize he was not only out of HIS lane but about to flatten US.  I had two blinky tail lights running and the usual 6 foot bicycle flags waving in the air but he must have been texting or otherwise distracted.  We saw all this in our rear view mirrors and began screaming and waving at him to hopefully get his attention.
It must have worked because he woke up at the last moment and veered back into his proper lane.
It's been years since either of us have had such a close call.  What with cell phones, multimedia, and the blasted Pokemon-Go sweeping the country it's a wonder anyone can survive a trip across town.  BAH
