Friday Night Follies

Lots of wind and smoke for the ride back tonight, but the wind was not as bad as the last couple of evenings, thankfully.
The wind was blowing almost due north as I headed due south along the North Diversion Trail, and I could smell for the first mile or so a strong pleasant odor seemingly like fresh pancakes and syrup, overriding the Arizona Smoke Smell.  I realized, as I got closer, that it was the General Mills cereal plant just off Paseo, which usually has pleasant baking aromas emanating from it.  Once past there it was stale Arizona Forest Fire Smoke Smell.... now, 20 miles with Tijeras Canyon separating us from Albuquerque, the smell is still strong in the air.
